What's happening in May
Monday night's at Connie's
If you're looking for me on a Monday night, I'll probably be at Connie Logan's painting with my Greensboro friends! It's my favorite night of the week. Connie offers a paint with me style learning of oils from beginner to advanced. This is open to anyone who'd like to learn oils and I can guarantee you'll have fun on Monday night. We always do! Reach out to me if you're interested in checking it out or tagging along one Monday night.
Art Show in June at Studio 136
Paintings are painted, in acrylics, oils, and watercolors. Those needing a frame are framed and almost all wired for my upcoming show at Studio 136 in High Point. We will begin hanging my work the weekend of May 15th. An artist reception will be held Saturday evening, June 13th from 5 - 8PM. All work will be 20% off the night of the show to thank those who come out and support our local art scene. I can't wait to see you!
Upcoming Shows

Florals in Acrylic Workshop, June 13th
You may not know this, but for the most part, I'm a self taught artist. I've been drawing and painting since my 20s. In June, I'm hosting an acrylics workshop. Join me on June 13th at 9:30 AM until 12:30 PM.
Artist's choice--paint peonies, zinnias, sunflowers, or Gerber daisies. This 3 hour workshop will walk you through the process of prepping your canvas, sketching your subject, and completing your 16x20" painting. Sign up now HERE and use THANKYOU for $10 off through May 15th.
Remember, perfection is a myth. If you're interested in picking up an artistic hobby, I invite you to try painting. It's does wonders for your soul.
Commissions are OPEN
I've got a few commissions on my table right now, but they will be ready for their forever homes soon. I'm currently taking watercolor Home and Pet Portraits as well as University Illustration commissions. Limited space is available for University Illustrations for graduation.
Coming Soon
Home commissions in Oils. I still love painting buildings. No matter what else I paint, there is something about painting homes and buildings that allow me to really bring them to life.
Goals for this Year
Well, I have put a fairly large goal out for myself, but I really want to learn to paint more people. Especially faces. I'm working on figures now and with Connie's guidance, I'm really enjoying it. I've love to learn more about creating portraits, so that's my BHAG---big hairy ass goal, for the year!
